For example, the panel on the exteriors of some of the more recent models is much thinner than it used to be and makes repairs more difficult since this thinner panel tends to stretch out of shape easily. Also, when the repairman tries to pound out the metal from the inside, removing the interior paneling and trimming takes much more time than it did in the past on many of the newer cars on the road today.
Furthermore, impact protections are now being installed inside the doors of newer cars for the sake of added safety. Doors are where most repairs are required but it has now become almost impossible to do repair work from the inside of these doors.
