Longer protection, outstanding performance with Mobil 1
Using Mobil 1 regularly helps to protect critical engine parts in high temperatures, reduce deposit build-up and sludge, and condition seals to prevent leaks.
ExxonMobil is celebrating 30 years of automotive lubrication leadership with Mobil 1, the world’s leading synthetic motor oil.
Since becoming the first widely available automotive synthetic motor oil in 1974, Mobil 1 has been known as a technological leader in the synthetic oil category and is the number one selling synthetic motor oil in the world.
With enhanced wear protection, all temperature durability and improved protection against sludge and harmful deposits,
Mobil 1 continues to push the envelope to bring drivers unsurpassed vehicle protection and enhanced performance.
Advantages of Using Mobil 1
Mobil 1 helps provide significant advantages over conventional oils, such as:
Performance
Optimum engine efficiency with greater resistance to oil oxidation and lower oil consumption under high-speed conditions
Anti-Wear Protection
Boosted levels of anti-wear additives that continues to provide wear protection during long-term use
Quality
The quality of a fully synthetic motor oil with outstanding shear stability to help reduce oil breakdown and extend engine life, even under the most extreme conditions
Durability
Faster lubrication at start up in low temperatures, superior protection at high temperatures and resistance to thermal breakdown
Mobil 1 Proof of Performance Testing
Mobil 1 has undergone extreme testing under some of the most demanding circumstances and test results continually confirm the outstanding performance protection of Mobil 1.
- One Million Miles on Mobil 1
A 1990 model year import car was tested for 1,000,000 miles with Advanced Formula Mobil 1. After completing the test, internal engine components showed little wear and oil consumption during the entire test was only .040 quarts/1,000 miles.
- 200,000 Mile Comparison
Two vehicles were tested over 200,000 miles using Mobil 1 5W-30 and a premium brand 5W-30 conventional oil. Test results revealed greater engine-wear and heavy varnish deposits for the conventional oil and oil consumption was eight times higher than Mobil 1. The engine parts from the Mobil 1 vehicle showed no significant wear and still met factory specifications at the end of test.
- High Stress Engine Test
Mobil 1 was tested under a constant 300°F temperature for over 256 hours. After the duration of the test, the oil still provided outstanding engine protection.
